Gaming monitor for 1080p gaming

Adamzam

Hey I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a cheap monitor I can use with the rig I am making maybe with AMD freesync? I only need it for 1080 I was thinking maybe the HP 22cwa 21.5 in Pavilion, Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch IPS, Acer SB220Q bi 21.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Ultra-Thin Zero Frame Monitor. Trying to keep it in the $100 range so I can get it for Christmas but yeah I don't really know much about monitors so some suggestions would be very helpful!

Are you content with 60hz.  Because if you want a gaming monitor with 144hz and free sync will set you back couple hundred dollars.  Go with the Acer 23.8 inch IPS monitor.  My friend has this exact same one and its very nice looking.  Also the input lag is very low you will feel you are on CRT except for the motion blur of course.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

Yeah at first I was looking for 144hz but then I realized how pricey it is I mean do you think it would be worth spending my own money to get a nice monitor for the future too? Cause I was gonna just get a kinda cheap one now and then maybe later in life have a dual monitor setup like I have now (with my laptop and a shitty like low res second monitor)

IMO depends on what you will be using this for.

I upgraded to 144hz, still 1080p and noticed the difference but I play games like Pub G.

I got the Asus VG248QE. about double your budget give or take but was well worth it for me.

Definitely not the absolute best colors in the world but for 1080p gaming I have no complaints. Dual monitors is definitely the way to go for me regardless.
