 ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI EXTREME

RMD80

Hi

Just wanted to know if any one else has had this problem with the asus pre installed io shield. I am building my new rig when i install the mobo in into the case and the mobo mounting holes do not line up with the stand off posts!

  • Mobo ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI EXTREME Intel Socket 1151
  • Case Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X

I have tryed an old mobo in the new case and that fits and the new mobo in an old case and it dose not fit ?

Aren't the preinstalled I/O shields from Asus squishy?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Hi,

still got the same mobo i had spoken to the retailer where i got the mobo from and they said that the mobo i have witch is the same as yours is not comparable with that case  (Phantasms ENTHOO EVOLV X) and i had spoken to Phanteks and they said that the preinstalled I/O shields do not work well with thair cases.

I have sent the ENTHOO EVOLV X back and swapped it for the Lian li V3000WX ALUMINIUM FULL TOWER CASE.

Hi,

I could get the I/O lined up like you have but the mobo stand off posts would not line up with screw holes in the mobo to put the screws in with out the mobo being forced see my photos ? Thank you for you reply.
