High End PC Performance Issues

Hey guys, I have recently (last month or so) been having huge performance issues in what are supposed to be "easy" to run games, and I have no idea why.

Some examples of this are CS:GO (Where I now only get 100~ fps despite running at over 300 before) and PUBG, which was happy to run at 100+ constant fps before and now tanks down to 10-20 whenever I move my mouse...

Divinity Original Sin 2 still runs completely fine (for some reason), but every other game I play has suffered huge performance drops.

My PC specs are as follows:

  • i7-6700k, running at 4.6 Ghz right now.
  • Gigabyte 1080 8Gb
  • 16Gb Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4
  • MSI Z170 Krait Gaming 3X
  • Corsair H110i

I have ran a userbenchmark test and my pc performs "as expected", so im pretty sure this isnt a hardware issue, and I updated windows/updated my nvidia drives recently but nothing seems to have helped.
I have used afterburner to see my temps ingame, and they have been fine too.
Im honestly at a loss now, and this is a last ditch effort to get a solution that will allow me to play any games with my friends at all.

DDU and reinstall drivers fresh new?

DDU? Have already reinstalled fresh drivers, that was one of the first things I tried.

Used DDU to reinstall drivers, still no luck.

Have found that if I am in a discord call and I move my mouse around I lose audio from discord, but only discord?
Moving my mouse also causes my games frames to drop very hard.

Hi

 

Try using the video driver you used before the trouble started.

I had to revert to older drivers with my GTX 1080 more times than any other card I owned. It is my second least favorite Nvidia card of all time.
