Ok i am still pretty new to pc stuff but wouldn't a 1080ti be to much for a fx 6300? Just wondering

Far, FAR more powerful than that CPU can handle.  Even at 4k where the GPU will be straining under the workload.

Yes. Any of AMD's FX chips are way too old for a 1080 Ti. The highest I would go is like a 970/1060 or so..... for gaming. If you're only using it as hardware acceleration (the post says he uses it for graphic design), then I would think that would be a better use, but still, using an FX system for anything these days...

RX 560 is bottlenecked by an FX 8370 @ 4.6ghz in many games nowdays.

Eh, the only way to justify that is that the FX system is only built to test whether the card works.

Eh, I don't know about that bad. My cousin has an 8350 based system with a 970, and it performs pretty well. CPU usage is high, but the GPU stays loaded up at 1080p.

I do know, I have an old FX rig that was using an RX 560 on a 1080p/75hz monitor.  Fallout 4, 60-70% GPU load and sub 60 FPS.  Battletech, under 50% GPU load and sub 30 FPS.

The CPU would probably never let that card reach 100% load. That's a pretty rare bottleneck, since almost nobody would combine a CPU so cheap with a GPU so expensive.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
