Going from a GTX 1070 to a RTX 2070 is not even a VERY big upgrade.

Similar to going from GTX 1070 to GTX 1080...

IMO, to see any significant gains, you'd want to go up to a GTX 1080 Ti / RTX 2080 / RTX 2080 Ti.

Even a 1080 wouldn't be that much. 1080 ti/2080+ or I'll say it isn't worth it

Those GPUs are entirely different. Also, RTX no longer supports SLI. You wouldn't be able to use both in any game.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

It supports it via NVLink, as opposed to the traditional SLI bridge. Still won't work tho.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

So i have a gtxx 1070 nad i saw that rtx 2070 costs 515euro so can i have both those cards in one pc.

If you have enough PCIe slots for both cards, then yes they can be in the same PC. But you can't run a GTX 1070 and RTX 2070 in SLI.

That's what I mean. GTX cards are build around SLI, while the new RTX cards are build around NVLink. The two systems aren't compatible.

Sli is meant to run with identical cards, on the 10 series it's a little softer that you could combine a msi gaming with a titanium, but still. Also, the 2070 uses bigger connectors, and even if it would work, sli in general isn't worth it imo. I would rather get a 2080 or 1080 ti than a 1070 sli

Actually RTX is still SLI, the only difference is that it uses the NVLink fingers now but all the actual NVLink features are still locked for the Quadro line up only.

So RTX is essentially old fashion SLI but in the new connection type to increase bandwidth, that's all.

And all of this is meaningless as you can't SLI a 1070 with a 2070, nVidia ain't AMD :P
