Black Friday and Cyber monday are seperated by 2 weekend days, 0 business days so they're almost the same, by Black Friday I meant the whole week or so around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, they have tons of sales in that timeframe so they'll be moving a lot of stuff around and fulfilling a ton of orders.

I remember a time Newegg was very quick on getting items out and to you, but now.... well now there is little reason to use them at all. I mean the old Newegg go them shipped same day most of the time in the past and then you got them in 3 days or so... i had a few DOA issues with them too and they always cross-shipped items so I didn't have to wait 6+ days to get back up and running.

Those days are over and while you would think they would do their best to keep customers happy and get the products to them quickly... well they just don't. That means they are losing more and more customers to Amazon and honestly I feel it is warranted at this point.

I ordered on Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat - everything shipped out by Saturday for me

As for a regular newegg user...I shop twice a week easily with them...they turn orders out by the next day every time, and I am not a Premier member (I need to be lol).  Ive never had Newegg be the hold up on my end, its always the shipping company.

And if you elect for the Free Shipping option - you are going to get the cheapest, usually slowest, available shipment option they have.

So Newegg tries to wait to ship all the items you order at once. However if something gets "over ordered" when you purchase everything they will often wait to get those in stock, then send everything together.

100% disagree

I bought 10 sets of headphones on 3 separate invoices Friday  (bought a couple, then decided man that's a great price for stocking stuffers...got a couple more...then decided to get some backup presents)

The first invoice went to packaging in 20 minutes.  The second invoice went to packaging in 20 minutes.  The third invoice went to packaging in 20 minutes.  2 of the 3 headphones ordered shipped together, the third order shipped out (which oddly was the first invoice generated) on its own tracking number.

My SSD ordered same day, its own shipment

My expensive gaming chair, its own shipment ordered that same day

I personally see zero correlation to your statement to my very regular experiences.

Again, we can only go with testimonies - are you being honest with yours?  As an Amazon Prime member I highly disagree, because the contract itself states - 2 day shipping, AFTER we decide to package your order.  My experience with Amazon, albeit always hating to support Bezos, is its a 5-7 day delivery window.  I bought 1 thing from Amazon on Black Friday, a Blu Ray disc...it came in the exact same time as my Newegg stuff so I cant seem to ever find a reason to place Amazon above Newegg.

Im sure that your experience is what 99% of people have. But I know for example if you back order an item then do a purchase of other things together, they send them separately, but what can happen is due to the influx of products getting restocked, if you que a multipart order, depending on the day or time, they can hold on the shipping if they think they have the part, or they will within a certain time frame. The reason for this is they want to condense the shipping as much as possible as this is where they lose the most money, and while they won't delay the order, they state regular processing time can take 24-48 hours, which gives them the time they need to hopefully find the product/products they are waiting on to complete your order if the don't have it hand. This is especially bad because the website doesn't always update the current quantity fast enough or correctly, so things get "over bought" all the time, but it's usually no big deal because they know what they have coming in that day to restock, but the issue arises when they run out, and the restock doesn't come through in time. Also chalk it up to human error.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

If I am being perfectly honest, I can count on 1 hand the amount of times stuff were not there in 2 days and all of those times amazon gave me credit to use towards my next purchase or more prime time. Actually I am often surprised because I get a good amount of the items I order the next or even same day.

If you're located in an inconvenient location compared to the nearest distribution hub, then missing delivery dates is to be expected. Though I'm surprised they haven't caught on and tried to figure out how to fix this.

I guess you didn't send Jeff an angry email yet.

In my case ( a 2080 card) after the payment verification it went to packaging and stayed there for a couple days. Tried contacting them and I was number 997 in the chat queue. After a couple hours watching my number drop I checked the order status again and it changed to shipped. (I'm thinking this was an inventory issue because the item went out of stock shortly after my order and only came back on the day that I tried to contact them.)

Another order on the next day went through and shipped that same day.

I'd assume it's because of all the black Friday sales, some stuff I ordered for work is also taking a long time to be packed up and shipped.

Exactly. This happens every year at this time of the year. Most vendors, including Newegg, do a remarkable job of getting orders filled and shipped but when they get slammed, it will slow things down. You need to build a bridge and get over it.

That definitely has NOT been my experience with Newegg. I've been using them for over a decade and I have always received excellent service from them. What has gone downhill is their stock selection. They don't stock as many items as they used to, often depending on their Marketplace Vendors to pick up the slack and most of those vendors are dodgy and/or price gougers. I just don't use their Marketplace Vendors.

The thing is, if you (and I hear this from many others)as a customer feel the Marketplace Vendors are dodgy, then Newegg isn't doing their job. They should be actively weeding them out and also have a better vetting process. Newegg is responsible for anyone they let sell on their site, so if the Vendors are dodgy you have to assume Newegg is too.

That's a bad assumption. My experience (and I still buy a lot from Newegg) is that Newegg itself still isn't dodgy.

You are only as good as your weakest part. So if they are using Dodgy vendors then they are Dodgy in and of themselves. Remember Newegg has full control over this process and who they allow to sell and/or keep selling. The fact this has been a problem for a good while now means they are not taking this seriously and/or don't care.

I use to love newegg and used them for all of my part needs, but they have been a shadow of their former self for a handful of years now. I wouldn't use them again now unless there was literally no other option available to me.
