What cable do I need for 1080p 144Hz?

I just upgraded from a GTX 980 to RTX 2080, but my monitor is a BenQ XL2411 which doesn’t have display port. It has HDMI, DVI and VGA ports. This monitor is 1080p 144Hz, but I can’t get 144Hz with hdmi, and I can’t use the DVI cable I used before to get 144Hz, because the 2080 doesn’t have a DVI port. I tried with a single link dp to DVI, but it didnt work. Which cable do I need to Get 144Hz?

You could use a dual link DVI to display port.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Oh no.. We are coming to the point where DVI is like the modern day VGA (as in being phased out).

As mentioned above, a displayport to DVI dual link would be your only option, might have to be an active adapter though. Check out reviews for adapters and their product page to see if anyone says they actually support 144Hz.

HDMI is likely out of the question, since you need HDMI 1.4 and not all monitors have that. There could technically be cables from HDMI to DVI (dual link), but I couldn't find any.

Active adapter is the only option (Dual link DVI to DP), but not all active adapters can do it so you need to check reviews. Last time I checked they seem to cost $80+, might as well just buy a monitor at that point.

You need a DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI active adapter, like this:
