Some weird behavior with Win 7

Well this never happened before. I boot up my PC and the wireless mouse and keyboard will not work. When I press del to enter the BIOS they both work. When the menu to boot in safe mode comes up, the keyboard works. But when win boots up and I get the Users menu, I get the mouse arrow in the middle of the screen and it will not work. The keyboard doesn’t seem to work either. This is also the case when I boot in safe mode. So whata heck is going on? How do I even begin to troubleshoot this?

Turns out the wired setup doesn’t work all the time either. It’s pretty sporadic. When I plug in my iPad to sync it, the mouse arrow freezes up. When I unplugged it it started working again. But now it won’t work either way. And it won’t recognize the iPad either.

Could it be the whole USB system?

Maybe uncle billy is punishing you for using Windows 7 to begin with.  nah just kidding my friend.. sighs..... But ya I say put BIOS to defaults,, then turn off system. and the PSU switch to off.  Turn on that mobo switch and turn on your pc and see what happens.  Just a thought...
