Linux Mint flashing cursor

Go to solution Solved by LinuxTek,

Some googling says try changing Bios harddrive setting from AHCI to IDE.

Reinstall Linux.

Also a setting in there for UEFI bios...but says only for developers on the menu. Don’t use it.

Hey,

I am trying to change my OS on my HP EliteBook 2540p but everytime I try and boot after installing it, it doesn't work. I've tried it with Ubuntu and Linux Mint. Any info would be appreciated! More in the video here:

UEFI or Legacy? There is probably some bios issue, like wrong devices order, always make sure your HDD is on the first place after installing a new os.

I've tried reinstalling Linux multiplie times and as far as I can see, there is no setting in the BIOS to change from AHCI to IDE
