Any recommendations for a Electronic Note taker?

Guest

I am looking for a device that has the following requirements

1. Small (About the size of a TI-84 plus)

2. Can not connect to the internet (This would just distract me)

3. Has a dedicated keyboard

4. Is cheap

I have done some looking around the internet and I can find probably over 30 electronic note pads that you write on. The only device I can find that does all of these is the Ti-Inspire CX Graphing calculator. The only problem with those is a new one can be upwards of US$130 Ebay Example. I have looked and found dedicated word processers (alpha smart). The problem with those is they are HUGE and would definitely get more attention that I want in my high school

Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas of products let me know!

Typewriter?

Notebook and a guide on shorthand?

Lessons in cursive?

Edit:

old fashion PDA or an iPod Touch?

Edit edit

discipline to never think about games when using the note taking advice

The main problem with a normal notebook is When I write as fast as my teachers talk it looks super messy and I can't read it but I am really good at typing fast.

If you're writing everything your teacher is saying, you're taking notes wrong.

Let me rephrase that *one* of my teachers talks stupidly fast and just reads off the presentation. So...

Typewriter or learn shorthand.

When secretary school was a thing, there was a way to abbreviate a lot of spoken language called shorthand. Ever see “W/“? That means “with” that’s a part of shorthand. It’s a long lost art of like the 70s.

Well keep asking. Remember, he’s old and not very smart. He reads directly off the presentation. If it doesn’t hit him in the face he won’t know.
