Basic requirements for a basic new video editor

Hi, with all the info out there it's very hard to get a straight answer, with the million cpus you can get the gpus memory...... Etc.

I would like to get into video editing nothing serious to start with not even sure if I will enjoy it. So what's the minimum requirements on a budget that I can start with?

Thanks in advance.

a computer.

you you can *do* video editing on almost anything, and depending on your needs beyond that you can scale up almost infinitely.

Video editing can be done on anything, it just depends how fast you want it to go.

For adobe premier or something modern like that, any regular old quad core, 8-16gb of ram, some mid tier GPU will be plenty capable of it and handle it pretty fast. Just your average pc.

if you want it to be super fast with it, processors with high core/thread counts are important
