Anyone with corsair devices...

I have a lot of Corsair products and they are annoying at times because the software that controls them often has issues. Because of this, I just updated to iCue 3.1.103, but now I have even more issues (won't work from sleep, 20% CPU usage, and fan control won't work). Do you think that Corsair will eventually iron out all these problems in this new software, or should I look to other RGB ecosystems?

I have some Corsair products and noticed

  • Link has a ton of problems with different hardware
  • Fans can be manually controlled

Bought 2 AIOs from them and Link has never worked, first it was the 100i and then the 110iGT, fan control never worked for me in 2 different builds, so I forgot Link existed and plugged the fans directly to the mobo, set them to 750 RPM and done, I don't care about the lights because my case has a solid side panel so there isn't a lot to see, the CPU blocks on both AIOs are still green or red (the default colors depending on CPU temps).

Yeah software isn't the best but performance is and that's what I care about. iCue is like Link v2 so it has the same problems

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

I have been having big issues with Corsair as well. I actually just switched from a Corsair Void Pro headset to Hyper X because I couldn't stand the software issues anymore. Since moving to iCUE it is using 20+% CPU Utilization, lighting effects on my PC will stutter and glitch (until I restart PC), about 1/3 times I turn on my computer. It is really getting on my nerves. I wonder if there are any corsair reps on this site that we could link in to this thread to maybe get some hot fixes under way for these issues.

General nerd and I work in corporate finance. Happy to help!

I keep trying to contact them, but they do not respond to any of my posts even on their own forum. I am going to give icue a few more updates, and if it doesn't work still, ill probably end up switching to only Asus Aura because I've never had any problems with that. The only downside is that the individual customization of fans and leds is just not there, but stability, in this case, is more important.

I've only used Cue for keyboard and mouse but never had any of those issues.

Asus Aura on the other hand never seems to work correctly.

I had to install a different Asus utility to get my mouse to show up in Aura, but you can only use 1 util at a time, and the mouse color shifts about half a second ahead of the rest of my system.
