Uninstall programs

Go to solution Solved by PorkishPig,

Could you let me know which antivirus you are using? Most antivirus applications will provide self-removal tools on their website.

I bought a pre-built pc a couple of years ago when I knew nothing about computers and it came with pre installed antivirus programs that I cannot uninstall.. I went into the settings in windows and tried to uninstall them but nothing happened when I pressed "uninstall" help?

Thanks for the advice! Now I just have avast left. It seems a little harder to uninstall than norton... Their website is a little unclear..

You can download the Avast Removal Tool by visiting https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe. Usage instructions are available at https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Uninstall-Antivirus-Utility.

Already done! Thank you for your help! I would've never thought of looking at their website.. Also, to remove norton I had to install "remove and reinstall norton" then go into advanced settings and choose to just remove it..
