1060 6GB vs 3GB is a BIG difference. 1060 3GB is more like a 1050 Ti-Ti. Definitely recommend the Predator, unless he needs the extra storage capacity of the FX. either way, he can buy external storage later, if need be.

Both options have mediocre cooling, I would not recommend them. Don't just look at specs.

Where are you from? What's your budget? What are your requirements?

USA.. and budget is somewhere 1100$ max out. And he want a gaming laptop that can play games right now and future games without dropping fps. That's why we pick those two with i7-770k, 16gb ram, and gtx 1060.

P.S.

You talked about cooling does adding cooling pad in helps?..

Thank you.

Good options with 1060 GPU (results from Newegg):

1. P650HP6

2. N950KP6 (desktop CPU)

3. Dell 7577 (Max-Q, can be tuned further to match a regular 1060N)

4. Lenovo Y520 (Max-Q, can be tuned further to match a regular 1060N)
