a generous 6/10. Could have chosen a better motherboard, Performance 8/10, upgradeability 9/10, looks 6/10, Storage seems to be lacking if this is final.

Would you mind telling me why 0/10 motherboard and 1/10 gpu?

My budget right now is 1220€, but in 1 month I'll buy a 1TB HDD or maybe a 2TB HDD if I can

The gpu is insanely overpriced, and you probably could've found a better price in today's current gpu market, and the motherboard sucks for overclocking, and is one of the bad ones on the list of b350 ryzen motherboards

The gpu is probably more expensive because it has a binned chip, but feel free to give more options, and as for motherboard, its the cheapest I could find that isnt obnoxiously red (I really don't want red in the build), but just like the gpu, feel free to give more options, I might be able to save some money and add the HDD now rather than wait 1 month

Intel has better gaming performance.

Well, there is a reason I chose an AMD system, I don't need it for gaming as much as I need it for 3D Modeling. I asked for a rating on my build, not a completely different one.

The SSD you have is tiny, you need at least a 250GB... Also it is pretty slow. If you haven't built it yet, I would get a larger SSD, switch out the 580 for a 1060, and get a ryzen 2.0 chip. They are launching soon and are a good bit better than the year old ones.

TBH I think the Intel Platform would suit you fine for 3D modeling. If you are using SolidWorks it scales better with better GPU performance so if you aren't gaming perhaps a used Quadro would suit you great.

Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, Motionbuilder, all scale better with more cores > faster clock speeds right? And between consumer GPUs, the RX 580 has better compute performance than gtx 1060, and in games, if using directx 12 or vulkan, it has better performance than the 1060.

My budget cant afford a bigger ssd, its a normal SATA drive with normal SATA speeds, if ryzen 2.0 launches in 15 days and is same price/cheaper i'll get it, if not, then i'll stick with the r7 1700

Uh..... No? Cruicial has a 250gb ssd for aorund 70 I thought. I'm just saying that 120gb is not enough. Thats like 5 games plus boot.

Crucial 250 GB SSD is 86,90, the cheapest is a 240 GB SSD, a Kingston one for 74,90

120gb is enough if paired with a regular hdd.

Just don't install games in it, install all games in hdd.

At that point just don't get an ssd, its not worth the trouble of it eventually filling up

Manage your installation, prioritize on what program need faster bandwidth.

As for you, 3d modelling is more important to reside in the ssd than games.

So games can be installed in hdd instead of ssd.

Exactly, you get me, and its not like load times are gonna be worse than my 5400 RPM laptop drive

Nope, the 3D rendering benefits from raw GPU power.

Well, and doesn't the RX 580 have better compute power than the GTX 1060? There's a reason miners choose AMD cards over NVidia.

Yes but a quadro will have more power than both of those cards

I'll consider a Quadro when I start doing professional work, right now it's beginner/intermediate school work so no need for a pro card. Can you also give me a better motherboard recomendation and a different 580 card? Preferably one with a DVI port.

Found out that a GTX 1060 is about 50€ cheaper than an RX 580 (not the best 1060 but its the best my budget can handle) and I also managed to squeeze in a White Tomahawk B350 board, and a bigger SSD.
