Glowing speakers

My bose 301 series IV speakers gow on the inside when i turn the volume to about 70 watts so it shouldn't be overvolting because the max continual wattage is 75 watts... i can see the glowing through the bass ports. Is this bad? Is there something wrong with my speakers? Thanks In Advance.

Some speakers use an actual light bulb as a current limiting fuse (try google the speaker model + "light bulb").  Being lit up is normal.  Extremely bright (and hot) probably means you're driving them too hard.

The easy way to tell is to open the cabinet and look.
