Hi

I want to buy a laptop for about 450 UK pounds, I know it will be a used one and that's fine but I need one that has a good i5 CPU that is quite nippy and can handle some video editing, also USB 3.0 must also be Windows I would prefer Win7 x64, storage is not a problem as I have an SSD I can use, I would like reliability and build quality, hope someone can help.

Thank you guys xxx

Lenovo ThinkPad or Dell Latitude gets my vote. Grab an older model that's not an ultrabook for upgradability.

get something like an fujitsu A352 with and i5 and an i7 3612QM and upgrade the CPU of the laptop it is possible, I have done it and I believe it would be much cheaper. It will have an iGPU instead of a dedicated if you go with that model but that's the alley I would go down (also means you get an i7 rather than a i5)

links to what to buy (these are suggestions etc. and might sell out etc. but still)

the CPU and HDD of the laptop suggested would need to be upgraded though so look about maybe

So buy that laptop and upgrade the CPU and install a SSD, will the RAM be slow though? and will it be good enough for my needs, I would hate to do a CPU upgrade only to find that it runs like a donkey ?

I would suggest getting the version with at least 8GB of RAM but if it's like my one that 4GB will be a 1X4GB stick so you can easily upgrade it
