Need help with Nvidia drivers

CapitalistVN

So I'm using an old AF laptop from my dad. It's a Sony Vaio (forgot the model number)

CPU: Intel Core i5-540M @2.53GHz

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 320M

RAM: 4Gb DDR3

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3

I tried to updates my GPU drivers to the newest. But all I got is the message " NVIDIA Installer cannot continue. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I tried lots of different drivers, 266.58, 307.83 and 340.52. Got the same message every time. Any help?

Just install the driver through device manager. Or get the lastedt one listed from sony’s site.

Or download a driver that’s actually comparable.

340.52 driver should work, i've an old laptop with 330M and it works.
this i5 has an iGP? if thats the case you need to uninstall the iGP driver to force the GPU to be detected upon install.
