identifying/unidentiyed no internet access

I had this issue with my old Ethernet cable bought a new cable it worked fine but now the new cable has the same issue and when I run the troubleshooter it says Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip config

and when I type ip config it has a different ip which starts with 164 btw I tried the cable on my playstation 3 and it worked fine

The IP you're seeing means it cannot talk to the router to get a DHCP address (It should actually be a 169.254.x.x address). What router do to you have?

WAI HG658 but the cable worked fine for like 3 weeks

192.168.1.200

255.255.255.0

192.168.1.1

 

DNS Settings:

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

netsh winsock reset

 

In an elevated command prompt. Make sure you reset your IP settings to Auto too.
