I have a picture of the motherboard manuals RAM configuration below, now my question is, does it matter if i use dimm slots A1 and B1 first, or dimm slots A2 and B2? (It looks like the motherboard is saying to use A2 and B2 first from the pictures)

Just finished my ryzen build with that mobo. a2 b2 first then a1 b1 if 4 modules are used. in my mobo, it's the gray dimm slot ones.

I'm thinking of buying the ASUS PRIME X370-PRO and i'm going to buy a single kit of duel channel ram (2 x 8gb sticks). I have a picture of the motherboard manuals RAM configuration below, now my question is, does it matter if i use dimm slots A1 and B1 first, or dimm slots A2 and B2? You see, I read somewhere that with Ryzen you should use the first dimm slot nearest the CPU and the 3rd one first for motherboard stability.

Is this the case or doesn't it matter? Or should I follow the motherboards manuals pictures? Ideally dimm slots A2 and B2 would be ideal so I have more room for CPU coolers.

Thanks, GR412.

It probably doesn't make any significant difference but I've always used slots 2 and 4. I have that mobo and have done so there.
