I wonder how much work it took the hacker to obtain $7M illegally. I doubt the cops really care. How does the hacker cash out? If he were to get caught how much time would he serve? What state would it be prosecuted in? Is it a federal offense of one count of theft over $5k?

 

$7M is a nice number to retire on. The hacker can live off the interest alone, so say $5M invested at 7% low-to-no risk, thats $350K/year. What would the hacker spend it on?

 

If the hacker is from North Korea, or China then the US cant do shit. Plus they need a crime scene, there is non.
