What is the cheapest half-decent headset?

I am asking because my current headset's headphones have quit working and i want to replace it,but i don't have much to spend.

I just need it to be as cheap as possible, while not being a total peice of junk.

If it helps i have $40,but i would like to spend less if possible, the cheaper the better.

If it also help my headset that died was a Razer Carcharias.

I have been using a Sades sa-901 (Link) for over a year now and while they are not amazing, they are reliable (At least for me)

Edit: On a side note, with Windows (at least with the default PNP drivers) the audio at 2-4% is low for headphone usage but turning volume up past that point quickly turns the headphones into speakers instead. Surprisingly on Linux Mint, it has good control of audio and never turns into speakers even at 100%. Weirdly though, if you turn the audio over 100% (with Linux Mint), the audio distorts but on windows it doesn't even with it in speaker mode(anything above 6%)

On windows, I find these good to rest on my shoulders and just turning the volume up when I don't feel like having them on.

Hey,

I would highly recommend the HyperX Cloud 2, they never seem to get uncomfortable and are great, they work very well and have 7.1 surround as well as a 4 pole connection and they even come with a plane adapter and removable mic making them great for home and gaming use, as well as travel.

Hope this helps,

TT
