Either Blue Snowball or go up to XLR. Yeti isn't worth

Ignoring my own product for the moment - I disagree with JDE, respectfully. I personally dislike the Snowball. I find it sharp and sensitive and difficult to mount.

I agree that in theory XLR is better, but at 100 dollars ... I don't see it happening. I'd rather get a good USB mic than a bad XLR and a bad mixer.

I think the Yeti is ok, the AT2020 is the other popular one around that price.

In other form factors you'd have a ModMic, Boompro, or a mid-range clip-on... though I don't like those either for basically the same reason I dont like the Snowball.

But in the end it is personal preference as usual :)

I don't like the Snowball, but it is a good mic. I'd rather buy the AT2020 or the Samson CO1U Pro. By the way, what mic do you have?

Listening to sound tests, I personally prefer the AT2020. Depends on the person though.

Me? Well, as the director of marketing here at Antlion Audio it is probably not a surprise to anyone I use a ModMic 5 as my primary mic :). Almost always in Omni mode, unless I have the AC going in my office or I have somehow managed to convince my daughter to mow the lawn (See blackmail for more information on how to do that). :D
