Hey,

I'm looking to build a computer to use as a media centre and NAS in Mini ITX form for around $500. (not a set budget can be more or less but not too expensive)

This is what i have come up with so far:

Anyone able to help/make changes?

Thanks

-Edit I'll need a wifi card if anyone can add a good one, also maybe a decent graphics cards also enough room for 2 Hds or one hd and a ssd. i want around 2-4tbs of storage.

for a NAS its pretty decent but i would add something like a 1050/1050TI or even maybe a GT 1030 just because GPU acceleration helps in quite a few tasks and will be really nice to have if you want to play any light games :)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

You say NAS but that case has basically no room for 3.5" drives ... so how is it a NAS?

First question:  How many Drive bays do you want?

Personally, I'd look at either

Inwin MS204 Case - 4 x 3.5" hot swap + 2 x 2.5"

Fractal Design Node 304 - up to 6 x 3.5"

You might just be better off with something like the HP microserver GEN8, I got mine for £127, with 4 HDD bays, a celeron (I upgraded to xeon), and 4GB RAM.

It's a lot cheaper than this build, and that case is very limited on HDD room.

CPU - i7 6700 | GPU - MSI GTX 1080 AERO OC | RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance | CASE  - Corsair Carbide SPEC-02
