How well does the Core2Quad Q6600 stack up against a Pentium G4560?

I ask because I'm planning a budget build and I found a Q6600+mobo combo for cheaper than the G4560 itself. Was gonna pair it with 8GB DDR3 and a GTX 1050 Ti. Should I go for the G4560 or the Q6600?

Quite a low slower, like, half as fast.

I could've went that that but no I could get vastly better system for that price go with a used i7-2600 for a decent price to performance or an older server

I have an I7-870 and statistically it is similar to G4560, but sucks in single threaded. That would be a good multi-tasking CPU that would work well with a 1050ti though.

G4560. If you get a Q6600 you have no upgrade path

Honestly it's less than half as fast. Real-world performance is about half of a G3258 at 4.2GHz, and given that the G4560 is hyperthreaded... :/
