Ouch, that isn't good, considering the investment cost, hash rate and power consumption...

 

Looking at some sites, a 188MH/s unit costing 2800$ would pay itself back in 80 something days... BUT, aint no fucking way Nvidia is going to sell that rig for 2800$. Not to mention that at 200MH/s, divided by 8 = 25....

A RX 480 BLOWER does 25MH/s.... yeah, let that sink in.... RX 480....

 

Meaning 8x200$ = 1600$ for a similar RX 480 rig... 

 

BUT, curiously enough, RX 480 is faster then a 290X (22MH/s) and even a Fury X (23.5MH/s).....

 

So yeah, going to be REALLY interesting to see what AMDs version will look like, and cost.

ive been planning to use my 295x2 for mining. Since it has 2x pumps and i swapped the fans for system controlled 3000 RPM IPPC fans in push pull, it should last for some time. Wonder if it will be worth the energy or not
