loud PSU fan

Marcseli

So my NEX650W psu has been extremely loud for the past month or so. I thought that it would go away, but it didn't. Also i don't have any extreme loads apart from my CPU, a g4400. Any thoughts as to why it is so loud? Any help is appreciated.

I think the fan curve is ridiculous on that PSU if I recall correctly. Is eco mode enabled?

Huh, for whatever reason I thought even the NEX models had ECO mode, not sure.

Is the fan spinning at top speed all the time? What GPU do you have? Can you take out the GPU and see if the same noise issue persists?

I only have a pentium installed and it is running at top speed a lot of the time.
