Awesome, had a pretty strong bias towards them anyways due to the aesthetic and how the 16x slot is a little lower down - expansion cards are a legitimate possibility.

:/ Just remembered that having a low PCIE slot is a little bad in my case, any suggestions for a mobo with a standard height PCIE 16x?

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Not really :/ The MSI board isn't bad tho, so if it is better in your case, get it :D

I just want a GOD DAMN AORUS MOTHERBOARD.   Seriously, they only make ATX and EATX boards on the premium stuff, GRRR

Yeah, Gigabyte makes very good boards! They have some mATX AM4 boards boards, but they are a bit ugly IMO xD:

  • 1 month later...

MSI has better VRM, only lacking the USB type - C port over the ASrock board.. I'd go for the MSI board for better performance / OCing.

Wow you ask hard questions, I like all the boards listed but I lean toward the MSI and I like the white a bit better myself.

I have had issues with every AsRock motherboard I know of, and both of those VRM's will not do a 4ghz overclock on any Ryzen chip.

Not at 1.4v or more anyway, since the VRM will hit 100C and throttle.

That being said, I really do like MSI's motherboards, the aesthetics, bios, etc. and I should mention any "heatsink" on these boards are for looks, but MSI's seem to actually trap less heat.

I've heard many bad things about every single one of those motherboards bios.

i.e., not loading or saving overclock settings properly, and not resetting when they were supposed to, even if it said it was supposed to, and this has happened on other chipsets that I have gotten from AsRock as well.

The MSI b350m mortar / mortar arctic have the USB Type C, and a better VRM (better quality too).

I'd go for the MSI b350m mortar arctic myself. (I did.) I plan on getting a MSI x370 gaming pro carbon.
