Hi Everyone! I have a 2009 PC that makes me don't want Ryzen. not because the specs, but because of how it feels to "play" with a PC.

1.Budget and Location

Actually i am not focusing on budget, just finding old parts that is great and cheap. I am currently in Indonesia but i don't mind using $ and £.

2. Aim

Just for Fun, but thinking if i can use it for YouTube editing and fast rendering also Racing games and FPS games

3. Monitor

Having a TV currently, i can sit my PC there for a while.

TV Specs:

12ms Response Time

120Hz Refresh Rate

40" Curved FHD

I can ask for a monitor, LG 24GM77

If that's really needed to be competitive in PUBG and Racing Games?

4. Peripherals

I have 3 mouses and keyboards, not sure where they come from...

Maybe when i was in 2009.

Logitech G402 is good and there's a deal for only the mouse at $20 ish

For the OS, i am thinking if my PC can "revive" my Windows 7 again.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Obviously because of fun that i am searching, the old specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo (unknown)

Asus P5G41TM-LX (DDR3 Dual Channel)

Pixelview GF9400GT

Samsung 160GB HDD

Included PSU from Simbadda

V-Gen 1GB DDR3

And the main upgrade would be:

Core 2 Duo---->Core 2 Quad Q9650

$80 ish (used)

GF9400GT----> Zotac GTX 970 $202.40 (used)

Kingston HyperX Fury HX318C10FBK2/8 $65 (new)

RMx 650W PSU

What do you think everyone? Tell me if there's something that you want me to change.

Thank you!

I found the Core2Quad Q8400 (I think, not really sure about the exact number) on ebay for 15 $. The seller also had other parts like RAM kits and GPUs. The shipping though was higher than the CPU itself, at 25$.

And I don't know if your mobo supports the Core2Extreme chips. Some of them have better rating.

So what VGA should i pick from these?

  1. Zotac GTX 970
  2. Powercolor RX 460
  3. Sapphire R9 380X
  4. MSI R9 270
  5. Sapphire R7 265

I don't care the budget for now, just the convenience of having no bottlenecks
