Should I reuse my old case fans?

I recently put together a new system, but the case didn't come with any fans. My old computer (probs 5-7 years old) has about 3 fans in it that still work (albeit a bit dusty). Should I reuse them for my new system? Thanks in advance!

Why not? If they fit, no reason not to use them (Just clean them a little first). 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

You definitely can. But if they are load you could use a resistor like noctuas or just build your own. There are quite a few guides online how to do it.

He probably men loud*!

 

A resistor/silencer from, example Noctua is a small extension between the fan header on the moterboard to the cable on the fan itself.

It makes the fan go a bit more silent in case it's too loud. Pretty cheap to my knowledge!

 

To the original question, older fans are alright! You can reuse them if you don't think they're bad, loud or ugly. :)

Which fans? You can use them, ofc. But as said, they can be loud compared to OEMs which come with new cases. Or be bit underwhelming compared to OEMs.
