.jar files doesn't work

Hello!

 

So basically I downloaded a version for my minecraft, that requires .jar file. When I try opening it it shows an error. I tried downloading the newest java version still doesn't work.

What the hell is this? How do I make it run ?

In this case you would not open the file but you would put it in the minecraft directory (aka .minecraft folder) into your mods folder. This may require forge so make sure you have the latest version of forge installed.
