Mouse not working. Help please

Hey guys

 

My little brother just brought this mouse https://www.amazon.co.uk/WESDAR-Optical-Gaming-Programmable-SB-X9-R/dp/B01MDNPGTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490355138&sr=8-1&keywords=wesdar+x9

and it was working fine yesterday. He's plugged it into his laptop today and it isn't working, it shows up on device manager but the red light under the mouse doesn't even light up.

Any ideas on how we can try to fix it?

try a different USB port on the laptop. Does it still work on a different computer?

then seems the mouse is dead if its not working in multiple machines or different ports.
