Will this cooler fit my system?

DK_BLEU

Hi, I have a Dell XPS 420 and the cooler in there is HUGE. So I am wondering if this cooler will fit my system. It says it supports lga 775 but i dident know if the bracket was the same. The current cooler has a sort of rail type mount but its removable. And I also am wondering if my mobo has the power plug for it.

Heres the cooler

Can you measure how tall current cooler is? I can't really say from pic. 212 Evo is 157mm. You could as well go for Cryorig H7 which is 149mm and will fit better than 212 evo. Plus its about same price range and performance.

Why are you planning to swap the cooler? The stock configuration is very efficient and I don't think the motherboard even has standard mounting holes for aftermarket coolers.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I think OP wants bigger GPU and cooler is partly blocking PCIe slot:
