25 inch ultrawide backlight bleed

So my 21:9 monitor started backlight bleeding on the very left side of screen, I first noticed this when watching anime (and with the 21:9 there are always solid colored black bars on the sides and I just noticed a white glow on it). I watched the video Linus did about monitor defects and have identified it as backlight bleed and not IPS glow through the observation that the light didn't change when my viewing angle did. What would you guys suggest doing? New 2560x1080... Possibly 1440p or 4k? I love 21:9 aspect ratio for everything and don't think I could go back to 16:9 unless I was dual monitoring and used it specifically for only watching videos. I know I suggested 1440p or 4k but I don't game a lot so I wouldn't be worried about if my single 970 could handle it (at least I'm not worried about it at this point in time)

 

 

TLDR: I like 21:9 and my 2560x1080 is backlight bleeding. I watch anime. new monitor time or ????

Sure why not. Just get something better than 25".

I haven't used a 20" monitor since the early 2000s.
