Right off the bat, I'd maybe look into an SSD. You could use it for your OS/most frequented programs, and store everything else on the HDD. Got any idea what Motherboard your have? That can shine some light on other upgrade opportunities.

FM2+ has not much more to offer. AFAIK he can push 200Mhz out of it with a new CPU but that isn't worth it in any capacity.

idk

i use it for gaming, and its not the best, and i would like to upgrade.

my parents have a very similar pc that my sister runs Minecraft on.

you can extend the life of it with these upgrades:

get an Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 Plus (cpu cooler, runs cool and quiet and its cheap)

get a 120gb-250gb SSD for your OS

get a GPU like RX 460 or GTX 1050ti

So, you said you use this as a gaming rig. What games do you want to play, and what frame rates/resolution do you want to play them at?

SSD and video card (make sure you power supply can handle it) are all you need in the short term. You'll want some more CPU power in the future or if you decide to play more CPU intensive games.

what video card should i get?

1050ti?

1050Ti is good for what you need - considering we don't know your PSU. but I'd say keep the money, wait for Ryzen, and sell your machine when it comes out.

idk
