Any ideas for a desk design (minimalistic and clutter free).

Hey there folks. Im looking for a replacement for my old desk with shelfs and cabinet combined, that is an utter nightmare for cleaning, is filled with decorative items and doesnt help in terms of long exposure to my computer screen and cable management at all, since it isnt suited for a proper desktop placement (a laptop sure, but i dont like the keyboard + mouse tray since its uneven with my chair and is easily sent back, making my wrists suffer in pain xD).

 

So the carpenter is coming by in a hour here and i am making my own ideas for the type of wood, color and design of the desk to be used. In my mind i want to use either cherry wood, mahogany wood or walnut wood. Each one of them should be treated in the least. I have received suggestion on trying to get white oak wood which apparently gives of a more modern empathy, but your opinion would be great.

 

Regarding the design, i have been searching for different type models to share with the specialist coming here and i wanted to add the two pictures of desks so far ive seen that would be nice to have, at least as a base for the finalized product.

Any suggestions on which model (without some of the features in there ofc) i should consider? Do you have any alternative suggestions :)? It will be custom made, so literally any wood and design i believe can be applied, within reason since hes not a metal\glass expert.

Well i value more simplistic formats that are also more mainstream but can still remain comfortable. I dont appreciate the gamery aesthetic :P and im not sure what i would do with 3 rows of shelves and a multiple monitor stand when i plan to have one only.

 

Thanks for the suggestion nonetheless :D. Perhaps i should stick with the two original i tought of?
