Need a new monitor for the GTX 1060

Steeler1994
Hello all! So my Asus 60hz monitor died today after 5 years and need another monitor. My price range is $300. I've been looking into 144hz monitors, but have been reading that the 1060 isn't good enough for 144hz full potential. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

Specs
GTX 1060 6GB
i5-4690k (not OC)
16gb ram.

Asus VG248QE?

264.49 with free shipping.

Honestly I'd spend the extra $ for g-sync. heard nothing but good things about it.

144hz and gsync for $37 more.

1060 will go to above 60 but wont go into the 120+ range unless its a game like overwatch csgo etc.(Overclocking CPU and GPU will benefit you.)

May I ask what games you play?
