Which Acer panel?

BrisoX

So there are 2 models of predator in the store. one is 800€ and second is 600€

800€ is 2k predator 165 hz IPS panel

600€ is also 2k predator 165hz but TN panel

is 200€ really worth the price difference?

Personally, I would go with the IPS panel just because of better color accuracy. But jjust FYI, looking at your pecs, your GPU isn't going to run triple A games at ultra settings at 2K at 165FPS.

Main Rig: Ryzen 5 5600X with ID Cooling SE-234 || Gigabyte Aorus B550I Pro AX || Asus Dual OC 3060Ti || 32GB Trident Z Neo 3600MHz || 500GB Samsung Evo Plus || 500GB Kingston A400 || 1TB WD HDD || Cooler Master SFX V750 || Cooler Master NR200P

Secondary Rig: i7-7700K with Corsair H115i || MSI Z270 Pro Carbon AC || MSI Gaming X 1060 6GB || 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz || 500GB Adata SX8200 || 2x 1TB WD Blue || Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX

Laptop: Macbook Pro 16" || i9-9880HK || Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB ||32GB RAM || 1TB SSD

IPS over TN anyday.

I'd buy it over the TN.

true but he mentions no intent to run games at ultra settings....

my brother runs his PG279Q on my Zotac 980 and he's getting 70+ fps on most games. I'd get the monitor for the 144hz refresh rate and G-Sync even if I'm not hitting 144fps+

Good luck. I already posted in this forum my issues with the xb271hu. Not a month of use and it already has 2 dead pixels and a weird circle-shaped visual anomaly that kinda looks like a few dead pixels together. I mean, the pixels are so tiny it's almost impossible to notice them unless you are looking for them, but still, this is just 1 month of use, makes me wonder how much it's the monitor going to last before it's hard to look at it. People love to choose the best case scenario, but for some reason no one brings up the negative points of buying one of these monitors. QC is awful and chances are you WILL have issues with it, only buy it if you have the possibility of RMA.
