FX8320 and GTX 1070 Powersupply

Hello wise people of the internet!

I'm planning on getting a GTX1070 and wondering if my Chieftec 550W Smart PSU could handle it alongside an FX8320 OC-d to 4GHz tops( currently running at 3,8GHz).

I've had a hard drive die before due to a low quality PSU so I'm pretty concerned about this.

PS.: Yes I know my FX8320 is going to majorly bottleneck the GTX 1070 and I will upgrade to a 6700K or some cheaper Intel CPU or one of the Ryzen processors if it proves to be worthy enough, I just need to get rid of my old old HD6790 :D and I'm really afraid of destroying something due to a bad PSU again....

Thank you for your replies/advice in advance! :)

550W G2. Quality is more important than the wattage. Get a 650W G2 if you'd like to add a 2nd GPU one day.

I would trust an explosive Note 7 more. Which means that the PSU is bad. Get a Corsair CXM for example or Seasonic S12II
