That's correct it does not matter.  So just buy it where it's cheapest.

I'm trying to buy a game from uplay because it is cheaper than steam. And the game is uplay game(The division). Does it mater where I buy it from either steam or uplay? is it same server?

Also, if I buy from steam, it's just loading up uplay for me?

I'm confused..

Yea, it's the same server. If you buy from Steam, you still need to have UPlay for it to work.
