AMD Driver Update Holding Back Ram (December 2016)

The Knome

Installed the last set of AMD drivers and games previously sat at a comfy 60fps dropped to 20 or less.
This is flat out across all games, not particular to any,

When I go into the overclock system, the GPU is working fine, so are the fans, all except one stat which is the memory which the speed is set at 150MHz and wont allow any adjustment, nor does it rise when playing games.

Tried a reinstall and its still the same.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Its not my fault I am grumpy, you try having a porcelain todger that's always hard!

Which set is this, specifically? 16.12?

I don't have this problem on 16.11.2. Try rolling back to that version.

Try reinstalling the driver again, but this time remove the existing driver with DDU (http://www.wagnardsoft.com/?q=display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-).

If you have the same problem then roll back the driver to an earlier version as suggested by ThinkWithPortals.

I would recommend DDU for any driver uninstalls though.  It still works better than the standard uninstall options, even after AMD included the new clean install.

Already done the total uninstall and reinstall.
Looks like a rollback being the only option.

Yeah there's a bug where the memory clock will stuck at 150mhz. Temp fix = use Web installer and only overclock with Wattman.

It's a bug with multi monitor setups when you try to overclock.  Hopefully they fix it soon.

I refuse to read threads whose author does not know how to remove the caps lock!
