Corsair RGB controller help

Hi everyone!

 

I recently bought the Corsair Crystal 570x case and it came with the built in RGB fan lighting controller for the front 3  fans with room for an additional 3 RGB fans. I bought Corsair HD120 RGB fan for the back of the case and it lights up white but doesn't change any other colors, certainly not falling in sync with the other 3 fans. 

 

It's all connected properly, the only thing I can think of is the front fans that came with the case are the SP120 RGBs. But they should all work together, right?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Figured it out:

 

The SP fans and HD fans can't mix. Which I think is dumb, especially since they are both Corsair.
