Corsair K70 RGB Lux vs K95 RGB differences i've found

In case anyone is interested..

 

I recently picked up a K70 RGB Lux..  nice keyboard, but I started wishing i had the 18 macro keys on the K95 instead to bind to code snippets and other functions.

 

So the K95 is all the wonderfulness of the K70 + 18 macro buttons right?   Not so fast there. 

 

K95 came in yesterday and there are a few differences

 

- 18 macro keys + macro features (duh)

- no USB pass through on the K95

- different font on the keycaps (thats pretty much well known).  much preferred the larger strafe style font on the K70 but I can live with that

- K70 has textured WSAD (and 4 other keys, i forgot) optional replacement keycaps  (k95 does not)

- both have the textured volume scroll wheel which i found secretly to be the killer feature of these keyboards...  however while it was buttery smooth on the K70, it binds up on the K95 and doesn't feel nearly as good.

- palm rest on the K95 is a little beefier with two metal screws at each end to secure, no screws on the K70 presumably because it's of a more manageable size.

- backlighting appeared slightly brighter on the K70, but thats probably just due to the larger font on the keycaps.

 

I predict a K95 Lux in the near future...

I have the K95 also.

Its pretty good

 

THe one thing i dont like is the volume mute button is a bit smushy

If you still have the k70 lux, just swap the key caps and make a K95 Lux

nah, then the fonts on the macro keys won't match.

 

I'm regifting it for the holidays!
