nzxt h440 case MOD

This build Log is surely missing alot of pix as the mod was rushed in the end. Did it for a nice friend though.

Except drill machine no machines were used ( didn't have any ) so the pics might reflect that

For bad quality pix ( I love sharing and take pix as good as i can but i am stuck with a bad cell phone atm and m bad at taking pics too  )

For the missing pics specially at the MOD end part, those would have explained better how it was finalized.

 

 

 

Case was shipped by the seller directly to me so i took some pics before starting the work to let my friend know of the wear n tear/ scratches already present

 

 

 

 

 

The box contained screws and the packet contained drive bays and SSD bays i think 

 

 

 

Modding starts from here

 

First i removed the drive bay rack by un riveting

 

 

 

 

 

Some minor scratches while removing rivets

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4 mm acrylic piece cute and drilled

 

 

 

The screw was hanging out so

 

 

 

 

Drilled with a bigger bit to make room for screw to settle in

 

 

 

 

 

After that made some measurements to leave room for 25mm thick fan and 40mm RAD because my friend wanted to have room for 360 rad at front too.

 

 

 

Told him aprox how much room are we talking about ( There are 2 lines i asked him if he wants some clearance extra from fan or not ) 

 

 

 

 

The 4 mm acrylic piece wasn't thick enough to give proper curve as the PSU cover had so glued 2 piece together

 

 

 

Then sanded the hell out to perfection ( it was really tiring )

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then started working on the side panel ( full acrylic 4mm )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And it started raining CF

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally gave that side panel a white carbon fiber vinyl border and all done

Yea but you could've just given a small desc on what you are doing

Sorry for not doing it at the first place but now the thread has some shape. ( Rest of the pics are coming soon, hopefully today  ) ( have a youtube upload in progress ruining everything atm )

U meant the front and top of case ?? IF yes we were planing to wrap them in  white CF but the white CF i had was really not sticking good may be got a bad piece or what but it really wasnt sticking so he said send me the case and let me handle the rest  I will try to find the pix he gave me .

BTW he sold this case too as he moves a lot he has switched to something smaller.
