Coating on case screws

Is there any way to remove the coating thats on case screws? after the looks of it, its coated with some black colored stuff.

Well yeah, any sort of paint stripper should do the trick.

As mentioned most air just painted, some are black nickel plated which won't be easy to remove however it will rust if you remove any paint or coatings.

i see, its because im going to get them all gold plated.

Just to mentioned but many places that do plating can also strip paint or other finishes off before plating.
