how to i make a cutout in my case :/

The easiest would be to mask off the section and layout your dimensions you need to cut and to use a dremel and a reinforced abrasive cutoff wheel to make the hole. It's good practice to cut away from the lines and to use a metal file to finalize and clean everything up to the line. After you can drill and bolt the PCI-E or rivet it into place.

I have an Asus gtx 1060 GPU and Nzxt H440 case.

Can someone please tell me how I can mount the card vertically in my case?

is there a tutorial or something cause i cant seem to find any :/

I want something like this http://i.imgur.com/LNkleGt.jpg

For something like that you will need to make a cutout for a PCI-E bracket like this to allow for the GPU to be side mounted.

You need a PCIe Flex riser card so you can connect the GPU to the motherboard.

is this pretty much the only way of holding the the card in place?

Yes it needs a way to solidly mount into place either with a bracket or something fabricated to do a similar job since that will be the only thing holding it up compared to normally where the PCI-E helps to take part of that strain.

thanks a lot. one last question, the reason I wanna mount my card vertically is because im going with an all white and red build and unfortunately my card doesnt have a back plate that i can paint white or red to go with build. I dont want the ugly pcb of the card to be showing in the case is there anyway i can cover that up? with like a white tape or something? and would it effect the performance of my card? Thanks again

I wouldn't recommend tape it would get all sticky overtime you can get custom made acrylic bakcplates from places like Cold Zero, just to give you some options there are cases like the Deepcool Genome that has the side mounted bracket build in place to hold the GPU in that orientation you are looking for.

Try contacting them directly I know they do custom work, if you want to do it yourself you can also get some acrylic to cut to size and drill mounting holes for it.
