Strongest wifi router

I'm looking for help picking a wifi router/ap for my new house. I'm renting and cannot run wires. I normally use powerline adapters but my new place has afci breakers that are tripped from them. It's a 2 story house. I am looking at the asus rt-ac5300 but don't want to spend the money if it's not going to reach everything. Any thoughts or ideas?

I love overkill. How far can you go away from it before you notice a reduction in speed? I stream video, game online(3 gamers in the house), and work remotely.

Well i can go around 100m-150m (so around my bus stop near my house
