Is a 60Hz monitor good enough for a Gigabyte 1070 g1 gaming?

I am worried abour screen tearing. Is 60Hz good enough for that video card (i have a i5-6600k)? What monitors would you recommend?

If it is a 1440p / 4K screen 60Hz, is fine, but if it's 1080p, you might think about getting a 144Hz piece...

FYI, screen-tearing can be correctly eliminated by getting a G-SYNC / Free-sync monitor...

Nothing to see here ;)

As mentioned the 1080p 60fps is a waste of money for 1070.

1080 144Hz or 1440p is where the card fits in.

It has power to produce 100+ fps i  all games maxed put at 1080p. If u dont  need it maxed out then u can easily see full 144Fps if the game supports that (most do,  early acess might not)

Connection200mbps / 12mbps 5Ghz wifi

If you're playing on 1080p you can consider 144Hz.

1440p then you're fine with 60Hz.

Just give that rig the monitor it deserves.

1080p 60Hz is a waste.

If the 1070 runs most new games in 1440p at 60-80 fps, will it be ok if I use a 1440p 120/144Hz? I don´t know what happens when the video card produces less than what the monitor can process.

Oh, and what would be an acceptable response time and input lag?

Thanks

1-5ms is unnoticable for nonPro players, the lower is better obviously but it doesnt make any noticable difference. U can buy 1440p 120/144Hz and depending on game settings or games (LoL, CSGO, Dota, Overwatch) u might get 100+ FPS. U will surely keep that monitor for your next upgrades and when u do upgrade u will take full advantage of its refresh rate. The question is if u have budget for Gsync and if Gsync will be relevant in 2-3 years. I personally dont know much about Gsync and therefore cant say whether its worth it or not.

I own a 144Hz monitor with a card that cant provide 144Hz in all games but I dont notice any screen tearing in the games I play (H1z1, BF4, LoL, CSGO, Overwatch...).

Would you say this monitor is ok? I had to cut my budget so I can´t afford a 144Hz one. Its an 1440p, 60Hz, 4ms response time

GTX 1070 can be a good choice for 1080p gaming, if you want constant 60 FPS with max settings in most all games currently released. In some games, a 1070 will still dip below 60 FPS when all settings are maxed, though usually rarely.

Here are some GTX 10XX series benches of popular AAA games. The 1070 usually stays in the 70 - 90 FPS range, though not all these games are running at their maximum settings here, notably Witcher 3, which has no Hairworks enabled. I don't know about the other games.
