Dell Inspiron 3847 GPU upgrade.

Hi,

So I've got a Dell Inspiron 3847 (i5 4460) and I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card.

I'm going to get a new 1060, specifically the Zotac AMP! Edition.

I've bought a Corsair CS650M, will this should be a good enough PSU and will be compatible with my PC and this GPU.

(Sorry I'm new to this and I've read a lot about the PSU possibly not being compatible with my motherboard)

So overall I want to know if my system with these two products with work together.

Thanks for any help!

That'll be fine, just make sure the case has enough room for the card.  It's kind of long so just be wary.

The CS units aren't really good quality so if you can get an EVGA GS/GQ/G2 550 or 650w, the Seasonic S12II or M12II are also good if you don't want to spend too much.

AMD Ryzen 7 3800X | MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus | 16GB Team T-Force 3400MHz | Zotac GTX 1080 AMP EXTREME

Extras: ASUS Zephyrus G14 (2021) | OnePlus 7 Pro | Fully restored Robosapien V2, Omnibot 2000, Omnibot 5402

If you're going to get a cheap corsair at least get a "grey" model cxm.  They have raised the design rating to 40C and it has an actual dc/dc design. The 1060 Will be great.

Ok, thanks for the help everyone, so overall should I keep or return the CS650M? It arrived today and so far I'm happy with it (not yet installed).
