Weird things with new laptop

Go to solution Solved by X_X,

Your reading the manufacturing date wrong. 15/06/12 is Year / Month / Date so 12th June 2015. Have you registered it yet? Check with shop for length of warranty. Display is supposed to be 1366x768 for that model, set your screen resolution to that and it should look sharper.

You probably haven't registered

Hi. Today i bought An lenovo-e50-80 with An Intel I7 5500U (new). But I run into some weird problems. First of all. On the box it says it comes with Windows 7 preinstalled with a ,Windows 8.1 license if you want to use it. I checked on lenovo's website and the warranty void's in 3 months. Probably that the laptop is somehow older than I think. On the bottom it's says the laptop is manufactured in 2012. Witch makes it weird because the I7 5500u was introduced last year. Next problem the display. It accordingly to Windows is a FHD display. But trust me. It's not. I compared it to my old ,720 p HD laptop display and on this the image is much shaper. Textures and program looks are much better than on my new laptop display. Also when the brightness is low it changes randomly from low to high and back.  I feel like i've been victim of a scam.  The store were I bought it is a legit computer store. Can anybody shed some light in my confusion.

of course I always can return it. But first I must look up benchmarks for the CPU. Will aida 64 be enough?

you will need something where you get a score like cinebench. i would really give it back if there is so much weird stuff going on.

Your reading the manufacturing date wrong. 15/06/12 is Year / Month / Date so 12th June 2015. Have you registered it yet? Check with shop for length of warranty. Display is supposed to be 1366x768 for that model, set your screen resolution to that and it should look sharper.
